2025–2026 Courses & Programs at Ruaha Catholic University (RUCU): According to the Trust Deed of the Registered Trustees of Ruaha University College, Ruaha University College (RUCO), now known as RUCU, was established by the Tanzania Episcopal Conference (TEC). The university’s management and governance are governed by the Ex-Corde Ecclesia Policy on Higher Education Institutions of the Catholic Church and the university’s constitution. However, RUCU is a private, nonreligious college where anyone can enroll regardless of their religious affiliation or beliefs. This website allows students to apply for fee schedules. Education, business and management sciences, law, information and communication technology, arts and social sciences, and allied health sciences are the six professional disciplines that the institution currently offers as program specializations. Through these programs, students can obtain bachelor’s degrees, postgraduate degrees, master’s degrees, doctorates, certificates, and certifications. It also provides assistance, research on a variety of topics, seminars, and short courses.
Throughout the semester, these sessions are offered Monday through Saturday. If both the instructor and the course participants consent, lectures may take place on public holidays. The Academic Almanac, which is typically issued each academic year, contains a list of the university’s important events.
English is the primary language of instruction at the institution, unless the subject requires a different approach. The following seven areas are the emphasis of the academic programs:

- Certificate in Law: a one (1) year program.
- Certificate in Computer Science: a one (1) year program.
- Certificate in Business Administration: a one (1) year program.
- Certificate in Library Information Studies (Library, Records, and Archive Management): a one-year program.
- Certificate in Pharmaceutical Sciences: a two-year program (NTA 4 & NTA 5).
- Certificate in Medical Laboratory Sciences: a two-year program (NTA 4 & NTA 5).
DIPLOMA PROGRAMMES
- Diploma in Law: a two-year program.
- Diploma in Computer Science: a two-year program.
- Diploma in Business Administration: a two-year programme
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology Sciences: a one (1) year program (NTA 6).
- Diploma in Library Information Services: a two-year program.
- Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences: a one (1) year program (NTA 6).
